Next Show's Tellers:

Melody A Johnson.jpeg

Actor, comedian and storyteller, Melody Johnson honed material for her latest show, “Person of Interest” at comedy clubs in Toronto and Halifax.  Her play “Miss Caledonia” which she still tours on occasion and is now performed by other actors.

Set Shuter.png

Set Shuter is a writer, filmmaker, and storyteller from Toronto. Her first solo show, Hysterical Woman! is premiering later this year with a charity performance in benefit of CAMH. When she isn’t on stage or working, you can find her watching a horror movie in the dark, or in Nova Scotia writing her days away by the ocean.

Specializing in costume and fabric, traditional folk tales, and personal stories, she has delighted audiences of all ages in schools, libraries and community art events including the Toronto Storytelling Festival, St Marys’ Storytelling Festival, Collingwood Earth Day Festival and the Royal Ontario Museum.

His irreverent, socially conscience, intelligent, opinionated and profane style of comedy has made him a fixture and favourite with comedy clubs, festivals, swingers conventions, radio, and television audiences for 3 decades.

Bryce Fletch is an actor, poet, storyteller, and writer.  He studied theatre, literature, and performance at Sheridan College, Queens University, and George Brown‘s Acting Conservatory and has performed across Ontario as an actor, a wannabe rockstar, a slam poet, and was not-so secretly Spider-Man for a while too.

Paul Hutcheson is a writer, performer and producer and has written and performed four solo comedies that toured to critical acclaim across Canada and the United States. Paul has hosted and produced hundreds of shows, including ‘Canuck Cabaret’ that was a critic’s pick in TImeOutNY three years in a row.

Christel Bartelse is an actor, writer, producer, clown, teacher and comedian, known for her five solo shows which have toured across Canada, the US and twice to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.  She is the creator of the Podcast all KIDding and cohost/coproducer of Chris and Christel’s Collection at the Peacock Pub. She’s terrible at updating her website but check her out at christelbartelse.com

Briane Nasimok is a Gemini-nominated writer, comedian, producer and the creator/performer of Fringe favourite, “Confessions of an Operatic Mute”. A current member of the Storytelling Toronto Board, his television credits range from YTV’s “Uh Oh” to MTV’s “Test Pattern”.  Briane had a previous career as a Canadian film star, which is why most people don’t know him.   He also has a website – brianenasimok.com.
